Passion

We’re passionate about nurturing & educating young children!

At Woodville Day Nursery & Kindergarten, we empower children through leadership opportunities, freedom of speech, respect for their views and ideas and active involvement in our curriculum. Our educators have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Early Childhood Education and are well-versed in the daily routine of Early Learning.

We are proud to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment that children love to be a part of. We’ll equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to confidently transition to the next stage of their educational journey.

As a family-owned Day Nursery & Kindergarten, we understand the importance of building strong partnerships with parents and families. We value open communication and collaboration, and we actively involve parents in their child's learning journey. Together, we create a nurturing and supportive community that fosters growth and development.

Tanya Robinson

Owner/Manager

I started working at WDNK in 1993. I started as a young assistant and studied my way to now Manager and ECT. I hold a Diploma of Children’s services, Advanced Diploma in Community Sector Management and I am currently studying Bachelor of Early Childhood education. I believe early learning is an extension of the family unit. Children in my care are my highest priority. I aim to ensure each child is cared for as if they were my own. I hold high standards which stem from my training with the founders Geertrudia and Harry. Cleanliness and safety are important to us. With strict policies you can ensure your child is in the best hands at Woodville Day Nursery.

Melissa Job

Educational Leader

I am originally from Adelaide and came to childcare quite late, in my mid-thirties. I came to Woodville Day Nursery in December 2005 and have loved every moment, completing both my certificate III and Diploma as I worked. Previously I have studied film, Biology, History and Media and Cultural studies at university and have a wide range of interests, but my passion is anything to do with the natural environment. My job history is also quite varied-hospitality, horse riding instructor, and community broadcaster to name a few. I have always loved children and enjoy engaging enquiring minds-there are answers to all questions, we just have to search!

Dubravka

Assistant Director/Team Leader Kindy Room

I originated from Croatia where I lived for the first 30 years of my life. I completed my teaching degree at a University in Croatia, and soon after graduating I became a teacher working with children and enjoyed every minute of my dream life. Unfortunately, the civil war in former Yugoslavia changed my “dream life” and in 2000 I arrived in Australia where I made my new home. I set my goal to work with children again. As a new arrival many obstacles and challenges were in my place, but with determination and some fantastic people I made my dream come true. During my 20 years at Woodville day Nursery, I have worked for two years in toddler room as a team leader, ten years in the baby room as a team leader and eight years in the kindy room as a team leader. This is where I am continually learning and developing as an educator and team member.

Peta

Assistant Director/Team Leader Baby Room

I began my career at Woodville Day Nursery in 2000 after completing a placement for my Diploma in Children’s Services. During this time, I worked in all rooms in various roles, and today I am the Baby Room Team leader where I have been for 10 years. Babies have always been my passion and I enjoy helping them through each stage of development. In my personal life I am married with a tween daughter and our cat, Bernie. I enjoy spending my weekends at the footy, shopping or just relaxing at home.

Chantelle

Early Childhood Teacher

I was born and raised in Australia and have spent a brief time travelling and exploring different parts of the world. I completed my Bachelor of Teaching in 2014 and have been teaching kindergarten since this time. I began working at WDNK towards the end of 2023 and enjoy the close knit-team, range of outdoor learning available and dedication to the best interests of the children. My teaching passions are inquiry-based project exploration, learning With nature and literacy experiences.
